We are looking for digital marketing expert to help optimize our existing brands and launch additional brands in the coming months. This position oversees all SEO, SEM, display, email and affiliate marketing efforts to drive new customer acquisition and retention.  You will be the primary execution force behind the company’s digital strategy, and you will have increasing autonomy to shape that strategy after an initial on-boarding and training period.  This role is located in our Downtown Chicago office (west loop), just 2 blocks from Union Station and the CTA Blue Line, and reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. 



As our superstar digital marketing manager, you will be expected to:


  • Lead new customer acquisition, nurturing and remarketing via digital platforms with a focus on revenue growth
  • Review, optimize, and subsequently manage  SEO, SEM, display, email and affiliate marketing efforts to drive quality traffic to our existing and new brands, increase conversion rates, and decrease CPA
  • Regularly review and manage search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns across both Google AdWords and Bing Ads, making optimizations and updates daily
  • Regularly test and optimize site UX/UI, landing pages, offers and ad copy to improve click through and conversion rates
  • Lead SEO activities, including ongoing site monitoring, keyword selection and utilization, site architecture and page content optimization, link-building, and conversion rate optimization
  • Manage and build email nurturing campaigns, using best practices to ensure CAN-SPAM compliance
  • Lead development and execution of cross-channel campaigns to launch new products and brands
  • Work with CMO to review and manage current agency partners and media companies including Google, Yahoo and Microsoft
  • Stay current on emerging trends in marketing, technology and e-commerce
  • Collaborate with the social media coordinator to optimize integrated marketing campaigns across channels
  • Maintain regular reporting in conjunction with FP&A analyst to fully understand our CAC and LTV, and margins on each product, and recommend changes to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Serve as a sounding board and idea creator for CMO



You’re a great fit for this position if you…


  • Have 3-5 years of deep experience with and a passion for digital marketing
  • Have 3-5 years of e-commerce experience
  • Possess a deep understanding of major digital advertising platforms, including AdWords, Bing and Yahoo Experience with using Google Analytics and other digital media metric platforms to design, guide and optimize digital marketing campaigns
  • Understand the major factors that influence organic search crawling, indexing and keyword ranking
  • Are able to find trends and patterns in large datasets and then translate them into actionable insights to test within and across digital channels
  • Are very high energy and outgoing, always looking for a better way to get something done
  • Thrive on working in a fast paced environment that requires you to “lean-in” whenever asked, and often when not
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree
  • Also have
    • Strong Excel skills including financial and bid analysis
    • Experience with Word Press
    • Experience with WooCommerce
    • Experience with Ahrefs and Moz
    • Experience with ExactTarget or other email marketing services
    • Experience with online A/B testing tools like Optimizely
    • Experience with Photoshop or similar image editing software
